Though a sleep disorder is a common thing, it is essential for one to note that it might be a severe health condition which interrupts normal breathing when one is sleeping. It is not easy for one to notice the changing rhythm in breathing at it occurs when one is deeply asleep. First, when your snoring is loud and disruptive, it could be a sign of the sleeping disorder. Snoring occurs when there is partial blockage of air in the upper respiratory airways. If your breathing is loud and disruptive during the night, it is essential that you take a step and visit a physician as it could be a sign of sleeping disorder.

When you have frequent breaks in your breathing procedure, it could be symptoms of apnea. When there is a blockage of the airway by throat and tongue tissues, it makes it very hard for someone to breathe reasonably. And due to the abrupt breaks in breathing when one is sleeping the brain will wake itself up to restore the breathing system and get the breathing back to normal.

Fatigue during daytime could be a symptom of the disorder as it means that you had little sleep at night. When you feel tired during the day, it says one did not have enough slumber during the night, and this could make you unproductive during the day. Seek medical attention when you notice that during the day you feel tired.

Sometimes one wakes up with frequent headaches which keep on recurring, but you do not know the cause of the same. Problems, after you wake up, can resonate from activities of the body from the previous night. When there is an apnea event, the brain tends to simulate itself to make everything go back to normal. Reasons being when there lacks a flow of air to the mind there will be lack of enough oxygen, and therefore one will wake up with frequent headaches.

The other sign is high blood pressure. When your brain wakes up every time at night due to lack of enough oxygen in the blood, it causes a hike up in blood pressure to make your blood vessels to start working again. If the process keeps frequently happening to arrest any apnea event your body will get used to restrict the blood vessels and thus high blood pressure will occur even during the day when you have healthy breathing.

People who are overweight are likely to get sleeping issues compared to people who have average weight. Reason being, when tissues in the throat keep on enlarging there is a possibility that when they relax they will cause blockages of the air paths hence poor air circulation. Therefore, one should avoid lifestyles which will lead to weight increase.

Finally, when you notice that you are easily depressed, and you have mood swings, it is high time you seek help from a physician as this might imply a symptom related to a slumber disorder. Little naps during the night can be the reason as to why you are experiencing mood swings. Therefore, seek medical attention.
